I championed and managed implementation of software solution to make speech recognition the primary dictation method of The Corvallis Clinic’s 80 physicians. Identified the organizational need, identified the stakeholders, and helped initiate the project. We started with individual Nuance Dragon Medical installations on the Physician workstations, but then moved all profiles to the Network Edition with the help of our Citrix specialists.  As Project Manager, I oversaw the planning, procurement, documentation, deployment, and training phases.

I helped the Project Team develop a communication plan, HR plan, schedule, communication plan, monitor quality of training, and finally close out the project.  I was able to contract with Nuance for a Clinic wide initial training program, and worked with my team to implement the Network edition across the Clinic’s multiple locations.

The project, which took about a year from project charter to completion, saved over $1,000,000 annual dictation costs from the very first year.
